Sumba Pool Cottages

Sumba Pool Cottages is a holiday home in Ban Tai, Koh Phangan, with eight one-bedroom houses, each with a private pool. The 70 m² houses accommodate up to two people and have a separate bedroom, a living room and a private bathroom.

Air conditioning, a kitchen, a flat-screen TV, a balcony and a terrace are provided in each house. Kitchen equipment includes a stovetop, refrigerator, kettle and kitchenware; the bathrooms have a shower and hairdryer. Views vary between garden, mountain and sea outlooks. The grounds include a garden, outdoor furniture and pool/beach towels, while free WiFi and free private parking are available.

Baan Tai runs along Koh Phangan’s south coast, between Thong Sala and Haad Rin. Baan Tai Beach is 350 m away, and Wat Khao Tham is also close by. Thong Sala centre is about 2.9 km from the cottages, with its ferry pier and night market accessible from Ban Tai.

All eight available units are One-Bedroom Houses of 70 m², each arranged for up to two people. They have a separate bedroom, a living room, a private bathroom, air conditioning and a kitchen with a stovetop, refrigerator, kettle and kitchenware. Every house has a private entrance, balcony and terrace, as well as its own private pool.

The main variation across the houses is the outlook: one has a garden view, several have a general view, and others look towards the mountains; one combines sea and mountain views. The interiors include seating, and some house details also mention a dining area. A flat-screen TV is provided, while bathrooms have a shower and hairdryer. With the same floor area and two-person capacity throughout, the choice is chiefly between the available views.

Practical facilities include free private parking on site and free WiFi throughout the property. The grounds have a garden with outdoor furniture, balconies and terraces, as well as a private pool and pool/beach towels. Air conditioning and non-smoking rooms are also provided.

The houses are equipped for self-catering, with a kitchen or kitchenette, stovetop, refrigerator, kettle, kitchenware and dining table. A dining area, sofa and seating area give you space to eat or sit indoors; some units also have a desk and dressing room. Private bathrooms include a shower, toilet, towels, linen, toilet paper and hairdryer. Media facilities include a flat-screen TV and TV, alongside internet services.

Ban Tai runs along the south coast of Koh Phangan between Thong Sala and Haad Rin, with village streets and beach access close together. Baan Tai Beach is 350 m from Sumba Pool Cottages, and Baan Tai village is 700 m away. Wat Khao Tham is also 350 m away, while Wat Pra Yai is 1 km from the cottages. These nearby places give you a choice of a beach visit, a temple stop or a walk through the village.

Koh Phangan is reached by boat, usually arriving at Thong Sala on the south-west coast. Ko Pha-ngan Pier is 3.2 km from the cottages. Ferries connect Thong Sala with Koh Samui, where the piers are a short transfer from Samui International Airport. Shared songthaew pickups from Thong Sala serve Ban Tai. Free private parking is available on site without a reservation. Check-in is from 15:00 to 21:00, and you need to tell the property your arrival time in advance.

For an outing inland, Phaeng Waterfall is 3.3 km away and Jungle Flight Adventure Park is 3.8 km away. The Night Market is 1.4 km away in Thong Sala, where you can also visit the island’s port area. February to April is generally the driest and calmest period. June to September brings short storms, while October to December is the wettest season; rough seas are more common on the east coast in November and December.
